Record Labels: Kill Them Now??

This video is titled "Kill The Record Labels Now" and that's exactly what these rappers and other industry affiliates are proposing. Am I down? Ummm I don't know. I feel their frustration no doubt but I'm not ready to throw on the army fatigue, kick in the doors at Interscope Records and start pistol whippin people and takin names, thats a bit extreme but I can say that there definitely needs to be a changing of the guard as they say in the music industry. Obama brought change to America, someone needs to bring Change 09 to the music industry.

Chuck Liddell KO'd Again!

Photobucket

Last night in front of thousands in attendance and millions at home Chuck Liddell got knocked out by former Pride sensation and recent UFC disappointment Shogun Rua in the early portion of the second round. Being that I’ve been a fan of UFC since before Chuck Liddell and had the opportunity to watched his miraculous rise to fame via his streak of consecutive devastating KO’s against the likes of UFC Pound-For-Pound king at the time Tito Ortiz, Current Strike Force Lightweight Champ Sobral and UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture (twice) its still a shock to see him laid out on the mat helpless. Considering how dominant he’s been, for as long as he has against the best of the best in the UFC, its just hard to really believe that this is what Liddell has become. But with losses in 4 of his last 5 fights (3 by KO), it appears that Chuck's reign in the UFC is over. But much like Tito, Liddel may be able to benefit from a change of scenery and find new life in another MMA organization. A fresh start may be good for Chuck Liddell but I can say this unless he wants to be the gatekeeper / stepping stone (punching bag) for more young fighters to make their name off of (Rampage Jackson, Rashad Evans, Shogun Rua) he better find another organization or occupation because right now his glass chin is benefiting every but him.

Hip Hop Nostalgia....I Miss Hearing Eminem Rap About Drugs

Photobucket

I miss hearing Eminem rap about drugs... I'm just hip hop nostalgic, I guess. But its true, I do miss the way Eminem used to mix in all his clever drug references, "vicodin VIN VIN VIN", I mean I wouldn't even know percocet t was if I wasn't for Em

"poppin percocet im a nervous wreck,
I deserve respect,
But I work a sweat for this worthless check"

Another line that always stuck out in my head was

"Well, I do pop pills,
I keep my tube socks filled,
And pop the same shit that got Tupac killed,
Spit game to these hos
Like a soap opera episode
Then punch a bitch in the nose
Until her whole face explodes
There's three things I hate: Girls, women, and bitches
Smack bitch that walk up, and drop-kick midgets
They call me "Boogie Night"
A stalker that walks awkward
Stick figure with a dick bigger than Mark Wahlberg"

In honor of my recent nostalgia I decided to post my top 3 Eminem Drugs songs, enjoy.

Charles Hamilton Interview

I ran across this interesting Charles Hamilton interview, I can’t say I’m a fan of dude. I guess Brooklyn Girl is cool but the interview itself is definitely interesting, as he talks about his falling out with is mom and how that inevitably pushed him closer to music and just various other artifacts and stories that bridge the gap between where he was then and where he is now. I don’t know if he’ll be a star one day or not, but I can say this dude is passionate about music so at least that’s a start.

Khloe Kardashian Reveals She Is "Obsessed With The-Dream's New Album"

I cant say I'm a huge fan of Keepin Up With The Kardashians aside from getting extended glimpses at Kim K's wonderful backside. But I can say this Khloe's got good taste in music because as far as I see this "Love vs Money" album is the hottest CD on streets right now. Everyone I know in L.A. has been talking about this album and if that's any indication on how popular the album is nationally then The-Dream may wanna start prepping his Grammy speech now.

Check out what Klhoe had to say about the album here

Q-Tip - We Fight We Love Remix

Alot people been sleeping on Q-Tip's most recent album, hopefully this remix will bring a little more buzz and much needed attention to the album. With hip-hop music in such disarray any solid albums that get released need to be praised because they are few and far between. Hip-hop and you dont stop...
